Tournament match confirmed for Knockout Wrestling ‘Legacy’

Knockout Wrestling have confirmed a third match for their June 24th event, Legacy at The Nines in Barrow, England.

It has been announced that “War Machine” Craig Kollins will face the current KOW Showcase Champion, Rick Markus in a KOW Championship tournament first round match in Barrow on June 24th at Legacy.

Knockout Wrestling announced the match with the following:

In just 9 days time we make our debut at The Nines as we present Knockout Wrestling: Legacy and on June 24th, current KOW Showcase Champion Rick Markus will take on “War Machine” Craig Kollins in the first round of the KOW Title Tournament!

By the time we get to Legacy, Rick Markus will have been the KOW Showcase champion for 538 days, holding the record for the longest title reign in the history of our company, despite only making his KOW roster debut early last year! This incredible run of success has seen him defend his championship against all comers, but on June 24th, he receives his first opportunity to compete for the KOW Championship! Despite his massive success, Markus has a hell of a test ahead of him if he wants to advance to the tournament final and become Knockout Wrestling champion, as he faces a man he has been defeated by in the past as he takes on the War Machine!

Craig Kollins was one of the most popular champions in our history, receiving massive ovations from his home town fans whenever he competed in a KOW ring. Whilst many predicted a lengthy title reign for Kollins, his time as champion was tragically cut short in a Fatal 4 Way match, where he was not the man pinned, but still lost his title! A nagging shoulder injury also played into his title loss, which would keep him out of a KOW ring for several months after undergoing surgery, but ever since his return, he has made it very clear he wants one thing, the KOW Championship! Kollins has not been knocked out, pinned or made to submit since late 2013, meaning he currently holds the longest unbeaten streak in KOW and he looks to continue that success on his journey back towards championship gold at Legacy!

In just 9 days time, two of KOW’s best homegrown talents collide with a spot in the tournament final on the line! Will Markus move one step closer to becoming the first dual champion in our history or will Kollins close in on his second championship reign? Buy your tickets and join us at The Nines to find out!
