Championship Match Confirmed For XWA Wrestling ’45: Live In Colchester’

XWA Wrestling have confirmed a championship match for their March 11th event at the Charter Hall in Colchester.

It has been announced that “Blackbelt” Tom Dawkins will defend the XWA British Heavyweight Championship against Lion Kid in Colchester on March 11th.

XWA Wrestling announced the match with the following:

“He stabbed me in the back… And now he’s stolen my title” – Lion Kid on Thomas Dawkins, Nov 27 2016.

In Dec 2015 Thomas Dawkins turned his back on his tag team partner The Lion Kid and formed The Congregation alongside Pastor William Eaver and James Castle.

Fast forward one year and the pair have faced each other in tags, triple threats, gone over the top together in the Goldrush Rumble and now traded the XWA British Championship but never has Lion Kid been able to get that elusive 1 on 1 match he’s been after…. Until now.

The match 16 months in the making takes place on Saturday March 11 when Lion Kid challenges Thomas Dawkins for the XWA Championship that he was never pinned or submitted for.

…And yes, we know, a grudge match that is this long in the making and with this much bad blood attached to it is likely to get thrown out pretty damn quickly… So that is why we are making it a no disqualification, no count-out STREETFIGHT!
