First Tournament Match Announced For Knockout Wrestling ‘Road To Gold III’

Knockout Wrestling have announced the first tournament match for their October 8th event, ‘Road To Gold III’ at The Cottages in Barrow-in-Furness.

It has been confirmed that “The Kid” Ethan Silver will compete against “The Rascal” Bubblegum in a Road To Gold first round tournament match in Barrow-in-Furness on October 8th.

Knockout Wrestling announced the match with the following:

Knockout Wrestling: Road to Gold III is less than a fortnight away and we are really excited to bring you the first official match set for the Road to Gold III Tournament! On Saturday October 8th, we will see “The Kid” Ethan Silver take on the “Rascal” Bubblegum in first round action!

Silver has had a breakout year in KOW, quickly earning a full-time place on the roster, then winning over the Barrow fans with his athletic moves and determination to win, “The Kid” has really hit his stride in the last few months, picking up his first singles win in a huge triple threat match against CJ Banks and former KOW Champion Craig Kollins! Silver would match his singles success with a hard-fought victory at Unfinished Business, reuniting with his long-time friend and tag team partner, Drew Parker as the YOLO Squad, finally vanquishing long-time rivals “Superbeast” Dan Moloney and Chris Brookes in a brutal Tables, Ladders and Chairs match! Silver certainly has momentum on his side when he walks into The Cottages next Saturday, but his first round match will be one of his biggest challenges to date, as he goes one-on-one with the “Rascal” for the first time ever!

Bubblegum is considered by many to be the favourite to win the entire Road to Gold Tournament, the most experienced competitor in the field of 8, the “Rascal” really has done it all in British wrestling and ever since making his KOW debut back in 2014 he has dominated the competition. Since his first KOW appearance, the “Rascal” has defeated Craig Kollins, Chris Ridgeway and Nightmare in singles action, all men who have held the KOW Championship in the past! As if this were not impressive enough, Bubblegum has not been pinned or made to submit in his entire time in the company, firmly placing him atop the pile of potential contenders for a title opportunity. Despite this, on October the 8th, Bubblegum will have to battle his way through two matches against some of KOW’s very best in order to earn a title shot at the Fourth Anniversary Show and the first man in his path is Ethan Silver!

While many may predict that Bubblegums superior experience and willingness to break the rules will lead to him gaining the victory next Saturday, the “Rascal” cannot afford to take the “Kid” lightly, as he has already proven that he can upset the odds when his opponent least expects it and Silver will be ready to put everything on the line to earn one of the biggest victories of his career! Who will advance to the Four Way Eliminator final and one step closer to the Road to Gold III Trophy? Be atThe Cottages on Saturday October 8th to find out!
