Second Tournament Match Announced For IPW:UK ‘UK Super 8 2016: Night One’

IPW:UK have announced a fourth match for their October 8th event, ‘UK Super 8 2016: Night One’ at the Casino Rooms Nightclub in Rochester.

It has been confirmed that “The Bruiserweight” Pete Dunne shall face “Calamari Catch King” Chris Brookes in a UK Super 8 opening round tournament match in Rochester on October 8th.

IPW:UK announced the match with the following:

:: Two former teammates and close friends will collide one-on-one as Chris Brookes steps in to the 2016 UK Super 8 lineup to take on ‘The Bruiserweight’ Pete Dunne.

Having been on the same page in a winning effort in trios action in Snodland earlier in the year, Brookes returned to IPW:UK in singles action, up against one of his all time idols, Chris Hero. The victory was not his on that occasion, but he showed some considerable heart – it was a big learning experience for the Calamari Catch King!

On the other hand, since that trios tag match, Pete Dunne has expressed his impact into the singles division in a big way, but outside of IPW:UK. He was all but the top pick by fans to be brought in for the Super 8, and sheerly due to the quality of opponents he has come up against in the calendar year, must be considered the favourite for the bout.

The fact that the two men travel together often to events around the country and have observed one-another at training in the past will make this another intriguing contest where experience will be a factor – not in wrestling, but experience with your opponent.
