Change To Championship Match, Iron Challenger Confirmed For Pride Wrestling ‘Kobayashi Maru II: Brannigan’s Law’

Pride Wrestling have confirmed a change to a championship match at their November 21st event, ‘Kobayashi Maru II: Brannigan’s Law’ at the Bridgeton Community Centre in Bridgeton, Glasgow.

It has been announced that Mikey Whiplash has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled Pride Heavyweight Championship match against champion, Big Damo at the Bridgeton Comunity Centre on November 21st at ‘Kobayashi Maru II: Brannigan’s Law’. Therefore, Pride Wrestling have confirmed that ‘The Beast Of Belfast’ shall new defend the Pride Heavyweight Championship against ‘Iron Man’ Joe Coffey this Saturday in Bridgeton, Glasgow.

With this mornings news that Mikey Whiplash unfortunately had to withdraw from tomorrows event, the Gaffer’s been putting a lot of careful thought into who should take his place in the Heavyweight Championship match.

Since Damo won the title the roster have been keen to step up and challenge the Beast – and as he looked at his options, the Gaffer knew he wanted someone more powerful than any mere mortal to tackle the Heavyweight Champion of Pride.

Matching Damo and strength and power, Joe Coffey is a mighty icon of pure wrestling – a man who not only still holds the record for Scotlands longest reigning and most successful champion, but who redefined what it mean to be a heavyweight champion in this country.

These two men have a storied past and their competitive and dominant natures bring out the very best in each other – if anyone could stand up as a true challenge for the feared and dominant Beast of Belfast, it’s the Iron Man himself!
