Southside Wrestling have confirmed a third contest for their August 8th afternoon show, ‘Day Of Reckoning 6’ at the Rushcliffe Centre in Nottingham.

It ha been announced that former ROH World Tag Team champion, Bobby Fish will face former Southside Heavyweight & Tag Team champion, ‘The Star Attraction’ Mark Haskins at the Rushcliffe Arena on August 8th at ‘Day Of Reckoning 6’.

Southide Wrestling announced the match with the following:

DAY OF RECKONING 6 MATCH ANNOUNCEMENT!
Bobby Fish at one point was one of the most criminally under-rated wrestlers in America. The New York native had to find success in Japan just three years into his career as he found himself a regular touring gaijin for Pro Wrestling Noah as he found himself sparsely used by the bigger Indy promotions in his own country. Wrestling legends and future legends like Mitsuharu Misawa, Kenta Kobashi, Jun Akiyama, KENTA, Naomichi Marufuji, Go Shiozaki and many more in Japan, it wasn’t until 2010 that Fish finally got his big break as he found himself booked by EVOLVE that he finally got noticed and appreciated in his own country as he began facing names like his future tag team partner Kyle O’Reilly, Chris Hero, Austin Aries, Low Ki, Antonio Cesaro and Daniel Bryan all saw him stand up and deliver in such high-profile matches. Eventually ROH finally saw what everyone else did when they looked at Bobby Fish and now as part of reDRagon with Kyle O’Reilly he is a three time ROH World Tag Team Champion and one time New Japan Pro Wrestling IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion.

But Bobby Fish is not just a tag team specialist. And when he makes his Southside debut at “Day Of Reckoning 6” he wants to prove himself as a singles wrestler. With his partner Kyle O’Reilly already facing the only man to win the Southside Triple Crown in Robbie X, Fish felt he had to face a challenge just as huge. He made his request and Southside General Manager, Kris Travis has today made it official. On Saturday the 8th of August in Nottingham it will be Bobby Fish against a former Southside Tag Team Champion and the former longest reigning Southside Heavyweight Champion of all time, “The Star Attraction” Mark Haskins! Do not sleep on this match. Fish has shown he can take the strikes that a KENTA, Nakajima, Hero or Low Ki can dish out. He has shown he is well adverse in mat-wrestling as he took the likes of Daniel Bryan and Marufuji on in their own games. And he made his one and only MMA debut in January 2010 and won in the third round via TKO. Fish is not a guy to be taking lightly.

If anything that his wars with Tommy End has shown is that Haskins can take a beating and keep on moving. He can take the kicks and has shown that his own MMA training has come into use during his reign as Southside Heavyweight Champion as he won that very same belt by almost ripping Stixx’s arm out of it’s socket. When we approached Haskins with this match up he was delighted to face such a competitor as Fish, knowing just how hungry and eager he will be to impress in his Southside debut especially against a wrestler the caliber of “The Star Attraction”. We think this match has the makings to be a classic and just because it is happening on a Afternoon show, do not think that these two will go any easier on each other. Both have a strong desire to show to the world that they are some of the very best wrestlers active today and when you put together two men who have both felt under-rated and unappreciated as Fish and Haskins have in their careers before when they stand, at the top of the respective mountains today, there’s always going to be a lot on the line.
