Another huge announcement for this Saturday’s Proving Ground event as two former NGW Champions team up for a very special tag team contest!
Both men have vast experience in tag team wrestling. ‘The Amazing’ Matt Myersis part of the Proving Ground tag team Mighty Morphing Party People with Liam Slater, not to mention a recent pairing with “The Showstealer” Nathan Cruz in an attempt to finally take out The Proven. ‘The Mexican Sensation’ El Ligero was one half of long standing tag team Los Amigos with now former best friend Dara Diablo. The pair where crowned the first ever tag team champions back in December 2011 and defended them against all comers for over 9 months.
Now these two join forces as we return to the Beverley Memorial Hall for what is set to be our biggest Proving Ground event ever! We are sure after announcing this dream team, a number of tag teams will come forward wanting to face them. But who will they do battle with? Only one way to find out…

New Generation Wrestling announced the match with the following:
One more announcement for this Saturday’s Proving Ground event at Beverley Memorial Hall, as two of Proving Ground’s top stars do battle for the very first time!
Fan favourite Liam Slater brings the party to Beverley as he takes on the always confident, some say plain annoying, JD Boom. Both regulars on the North East wrestling scene, the two have never faced one on one at a Proving Ground event before. With manager, and “Super Best Friend”, Kev Cash in JD Booms corner, will Liam Slater be able to avoid the numbers game getting the better of him and keep the Venga Bus rolling all the way to a victory?
