MINISTRY OF SLAM (@MOSRadio) PRESS RELEASE:

The Ministry Of Slam – More Than Wrestling Radio

In August 2012, lifelong wrestling fan Chris Duke – who had founded FM radio’s One Wrestling Show – was offered to take the reigns of the Ministry Of Slam, an English-based wrestling podcast which had for years had a cult following. Accepting, Chris chose Jamie Kennedy – a writer for Fighting Spirit Magazine, numerous other websites and manager for Scottish promotion, Insane Championship Wrestling – to take on this exciting venture with him. Despite initial technical troubles, the pair started finding their own groove with the show before being joined by Andrew Downs – a renowned graphic artist who was already doing graphics work for the show – as a third host.

Since that time, the trio have went from strength to strength, interviewing the likes of Eric Bischoff, the entire WWE Hall of Fame class of 2013, Steve Austin and, most recently, Shawn Michaels.

Airing live every Monday in a regular timeslot for two hours, MOS also produces a weekly look back at a famous Pay-Per-View mid-week, as well as loads of other content under the add-on, premium subscription banner of ‘MOS Elite’. The show is produced out of a spare-room in the house of Chris Duke, in Cumbernauld, Scotland.

“The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels has long been known as Mr. Wrestlemania, Mr. Main Event, an icon, the Showstopper and one of the best performers in the history of the wrestling industry. Perhaps due to that status, he has eluded many a show who have wished to interview him. Through perseverance and professionalism, Ministry Of Slam have become the first media outlet in the UK to secure a 60-minute “Iron Man” Interview with the man himself.

Set to air on a special 3-hour edition of the group’s show on Monday June 17 from 9pm GMT/4pm EST, this hour-long look at the career of HBK, as well as what he’s up to now, is truly a historical piece of footage. Tune in live via www.MinistryOfSlam.com, and join the excitement and debate via the in-website chat room with the self-styled ‘MOS Army’.

Ministry Of Slam’s tagline is, ‘Right Stories, Right Guests, Right Time’, and never has this proven more true.
